Smart Fuel Polishing System Digital Controler with Leak Detection
ALGAE-X® Fuel Polishing Systems keep diesel fuels in “pristine condition” while removing sludge, water and biological elements from storage tanks at a rate of 150 gallons per hour. Since fuel is inherently unstable, solids begin to form and the accumulating tank sludge will eventually clog your filters and damage your injectors. It will cause engines to smoke, lose power and ultimately break down. The FPS FX Series features a unique service filter alarm, is extremely compact and reduces cost of filter maintenance.
The Smart FPS-FX / FX-R conditions and stabilizes the fuel, eliminates microbial contamination, removes water, tank sludge and contaminants from the tanks. The principal components of the system are an LG-X 500 Fuel Conditioner, a continuous duty gear pump, an alarm panel with timer and a fuel filter water separator/coalescer with a vacuum gauge. The unique alarm feature adds safety and piece of mind by automatically turning the pump off and activating an alarm light when the filter needs to be serviced.
The Smart FPS-FX / FX-R is a wall mounted, fuel-polishing system with an alarm panel providing Optimal Fuel Quality for Peak Engine Performance. The system is compact, easy to install, operate and maintain. The LG-X Fuel Conditioner decreases the size and mass of fuel droplets providing better filtration and water separation, clear and bright fuel, optimal combustion and clean tanks. The filter/water separator unit removes water and particulate from the fuel. It can be easily drained, by opening the valve on the bottom. The filter element can be back-flushed several times before replacing.
The SMART FPS FX uses a Separ SWK-2000/10 filtration and water separation (Order the SMART FPS-FX to include the Separ fuel filter/water separator), filtering fuel down to 30 or to 10 micron. The FX series fuel polishing and transfer system is also available with Racor Turbine Series 1000 MA offering filtration and water separation down to 30 or 10 micron (Order the SMART FPS- FX-R to include the Racor Turbine Series Model 1000 MA fuel filter/water separator).
The Smart FPS FX systems are also available with leak detection that will automatically shut down the pump when a float switch is activated from an accumulation of liquid in the tray, an option available for both the Separ equipped system (the FPS FX-LD) and when equipped with the Racor filter (the FPS FX-R LD). All systems are available in either 12 volt or 24 volt power.
The FPX-FX systems are equipped with automated programming to simplify the fuel maintenance procedure for the tanks of vessels and generator compartments ensuring constant high-grade fuel quality. For safe operation all SMART FPS systems have automatic pump shut-down and indicators when filter elements require service, high pump vacuum or pressure exists, or water is detected.
