RCM Series Water Separator/Coalescer
Fuel, Water and Sediment Separation without using Filter Elements
RCM Separators efficiently remove water, sludge and sediments that naturally accumulate in tanks. The RCM performs this function without the use of filter elements that need to be replaced or cleaned. Simply drain the collected water, sediments and sludge by opening the valve on the bottom of the unit. RCM separators remove up to 95 percent of solid contaminants (down to approximately 10 microns) and 98 percent of visible water, including emulsified water that may be in the fuel.

RCM Fuel/Water Separators/Coalescer systems are constructed of powder coated high quality steel. They are equipped with a brass fill plug, air purge valve, drain ball valve and stainless steel mounting hardware for the mounting straps. Some models are alternatively offered as base mounted units.

The intake/suction hose used on the ALGAE-X Mobile Tank Cleaners is made of clear, see-through reinforced Poly-Wire PVC. The return hose is blue, non-marking, high quality, LOL Plus fuel hose. Digital Flow Meter measures how much fuel has been treated with the ALGAE-X Mobile Tank Cleaner or Fuel Polishing System. Designed for outdoor use from 14 to 130 deg. F (-10 to +54 deg. C) on fuel transfer applications for diesel, gasoline, kerosene and jet fuel. Protect Digital Flow Meter by installing a strainer or filter inline upstream of flow.

Water Finding Paste
To determine the amount of water and sludge in a tank an old and tried method is called "sticking the tank." This means using a stick with "Kolor Kut" paste on the end that reaches through the top all the way to the bottom of the tank. Kolor Kut paste will show the water level in the tank and indicate how much water and sludge will have to be removed.

Digital Timer
In some applications, a digital timer that allows for automatic starting and stopping of fuel circulation allows for regular fuel polishing without the need to manually set the operation in motion. Care should be taken with this type of installation as freely circulating fuel unattended could cause problems should a fuel line leak or other damage to the system allow fuel to leak. The fuel pumps provide a great amount of flow and can empty the fuel into the vessel or onto the ground in short order. This digital timer is offered as a replacement for the STS Systems that provide sensors to deal with this problem and is not recommended for other applications.
